An Donut with Koshi An
|Order Deadline:||8 am on the pick-up day|
Here is my An Donut story.
My grandparents ran a Japanese cake shop, and as a little girl I used to spend afternoon watching them make a variety of Wagashi (Japanese sweets) and Yohgashi (Western sweets). Sometimes they gave me small samples to taste. My favorite was donuts! It's Showa style (old fashioned) Japanese donuts with anko (bean paste) filling. Not fancy, but it hits your nostalgia all the way back in the 60-70s.
Want to try one? Koshi An bean paste is made in house with azuki beans from scratch. No yeast is used in the dough. Each donut is fried in rice bran oil.
Cake flour, baking powder, milk, butter, sugar, egg, azuki beans, rice bran oil for frying.
